Bulletin of the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in the Syrian Arab Republic (January 12, 2022)
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
According to the agreement of the Russian and Turkish sides, from 00.01 on March 6, 2020, a cessation of hostilities is in effect on the territory of the Idlib de-escalation zone.
The Russian part of the representation of the joint Russian-Turkish Commission on issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities recorded 3 facts of opening fire in the provinces: Aleppo – 2, Idlib – 1.
The Turkish part of the representation stated three facts of opening fire (the Russian part of the representation confirmed – 0).
Humanitarian aid provided for the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring has held two humanitarian actions:
in Medrese Omr Bakur refugee camp, Aleppo province. 500 food packages were issued, with a total weight of 4.995 tons;
in Marrat, Deir ez-Zor province. 400 food packages were issued, with a total weight of 3.996 tons;
The total number of humanitarian actions - 3,036 with a total weight of cargo - 5,337.48 tons.
