The crews of more than 100 aircraft of the Southern Military District have practiced the withdrawal from the attack of a mock enemy and redeployment to operational airfields
The crews of operational-tactical, assault and army aviation of formations of the 4th Army of the Air Force and the Air Defence of the Southern Military District practiced a large-scale withdrawal from the airfields of the basing of aviation equipment from the strike of a mock enemy.
At a conventional signal, squadrons of Su-30SM, Su-27 fighters, Su-34 and Su-24M bombers, Su-25SM attack aircraft and Mi-35, Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-28N and Ka-52 army aviation helicopters were redeployed to operational airfields. In total, more than 100 aircraft were taken into the air. The standards were also practiced by the engineering and technical composition of the air force and air defence formations of the Southern Military District, having prepared the equipment for combat training missions with a suspension of missile and bomb weapons.
The command post is attended by formations and military units of the Southern Military District, as well as units of military bases deployed in Abkhazia, Armenia, South Ossetia, as well as part of the forces of the Black Sea Fleet, the Caspian Flotilla, which will practice actions in the waters of the Black and Caspian Seas.
In total, about 8 thousand servicemen were involved in the command post with the associations and formations of the Southern Military District, about 350 units of weapons and military equipment from the combined arms armies, air force and air defence formations and units of the combat arms and special forces of district subordination, the forces of the Black Sea Fleet and Caspian flotilla.
