With the crews of the army aviation of the Russian military base Hmeymim in Syria, a training was held to rescue the wounded from the battlefield.
According to the training conditions, the rescuer had no right to help the rescuer. Indeed, in battle, it may be necessary to evacuate the seriously wounded, unconscious. It is even more difficult to do this exercise at sea. The rescuer has to fasten the belts right in the water.
Each helicopter, which is on duty for search and rescue, has a winch with a lifting capacity of 300 kilograms. It fully ensures the descent to the victim and his evacuation on board.
Speaking about the exceptional role of army aviation in Hmeymim, it is worth noting that when the crew of Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Peshkov was shot down in 2015, the helicopter pilots were the first to fly to the rescue - navigator Captain Konstantin Murakhtin was saved.
