As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
According to the agreement of the Russian and Turkish sides, from 00.01 on March 6, 2020, a cessation of hostilities is in effect on the territory of the Idlib de-escalation zone.
The Russian part of the representative office of the joint Russian-Turkish Commission for consideration of issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities recorded four cases of opening fire (0 of them according to the Syrian side) in the provinces of Idlib-1, Hama-1 and Aleppo-2.
The Turkish part of the representation stated 2 facts of opening fire (the Russian part of the representation confirmed – 0).
Humanitarian aid provided for the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring has held two humanitarian actions. People received 1,000 food sets with the total weight 7.65 ton.
People in Vakhshiyah, Aleppo province, received 500 food sets with a total weight of 4.75 tons.
in Kharem camp, Latakia province, received 500 food sets with a total weight of 2.9 tons.
The total number of humanitarian actions - 3,033 with a total weight of cargo - 5,323.52 tons.
