Bulletin of the Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in the Syrian Arab Republic (July 29, 2021)
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
According to the agreement of the Russian and Turkish sides, a cessation of hostilities will be in effect on the territory of the Idlib de-escalation zone from 00.01 on March 6, 2020.
The Russian part of the representative office of the joint Russian-Turkish commission for the consideration of issues related to violations of the cessation of hostilities, recorded 27 facts of opening fire (26 of them according to the Syrian side) in the provinces: Aleppo – 1, Latakia – 6, Idlib – 14, Hama – 6.
The Turkish part of the mission stated 12 facts of opening fire (the Russian part of the mission confirmed – 0).
Provision of humanitarian assistance to the population of the SAR
During the day, the Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides and Control over the Movement of Refugees held one humanitarian action:
in Al-Fatisa, Raqqa province. 100 food packages were issued, with a total weight of 0.557 tons.
In total, humanitarian actions were carried out-2971, the total weight of the delivered humanitarian cargo – 5179.21 tons.
