Briefing by Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in Syria (April 6, 2021)
Work continues in the Syrian Arab Republic to resolve the conflict in a non-military manner and to provide comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens in restoring peaceful life.
Over the past day, representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides held three humanitarian actions in the settlements of Hatlah in Deir ez-Zor province, al-Qseir in Aleppo province and Tafas in Daraa province, during which three gasoline generators, 875 food packages weighing 6.6 tons were issued to the civilian population.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 2,795 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 4,8 thousand tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the Membij area of Aleppo province from Ajami along two routes in the direction of Membij and Karakozak.
Russian military police units conducted patrols in the Raqqa province along the route from Ain-Isa to Tell-Tamer and back, in the Haseke province along the routes from Tell-Tamer to Ain-Isa and back, from Kamishlia to Ain-Divar and back, in province Deir-ez-Zor on the route from Khatla to Salkhiyah and back.
The Army Aviation carried out air patrol along the route Metras to Qawairis and back.
Over the past day, there have been no reports of attacks by active illegal armed groups controlled by Turkey.
At the same time, in the Idlib de-escalation zone, 32 attacks were recorded from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (including 29 attacks according to the Syrian side), of which 13 attacks were recorded in Idlib province, 4 attacks in Aleppo province, 12 attacks in Latakia province and 3 attacks in Hama province.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy, and ensure delivery of humanitarian relief to Syrian civilians.
