Briefing by Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in Syria (February 5, 2021)
Peaceful settlement of the conflict and rendering of comprehensive assistance are the main vectors of work in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring has held no humanitarian actions.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 2,711 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 4,6 thousand tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the Membij area of Aleppo province from Ajami along two routes in the direction of Bosgekli and Karakozak.
The army aviation forces conducted air patrols along the route from Qwairis airfield to Ain-Isa and back.
Russian military police units continue to escort civilian vehicles along the M4 highway between the settlements of Ain-Isa in Raqqa province and Tell-Tamer in Hasakah province, organized by the CPVS in cooperation with local administrations since May 25 this year. Over the past day, 181 vehicles and 296 people were escorted. A total of 41,463 vehicles and 76,463 people have been escorted since May 25.
Over the past day, there have been no reports of attacks by active illegal armed groups controlled by Turkey.
At the same time, in the Idlib de-escalation zone, 22 attacks were recorded from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group (including 17 attacks according to the Syrian side), of which 12 attacks were recorded in Idlib province, 1 attack in Aleppo province, 5 attacks in Latakia province and 4 attacks in Hama province.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy, and ensure delivery of humanitarian relief to Syrian civilians.
