Briefing by Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring in Syria (November 20, 2020)
Work continues in the Syrian Arab Republic to resolve the conflict in a non-military manner and to provide comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens in restoring peaceful life.
Over the past day there were no humanitarian actions held by representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides.
Since the beginning of the settlement process, the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides has conducted 2642 humanitarian actions. The total weight of the humanitarian cargo was 4577.9 tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of understanding as of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police continued to patrol in the Manbij area of Aleppo province from al-Ajami along two routes in the direction of Bozgekli and Karakozak.
The army aviation forces conducted air patrols along the route: from Metras airfield to Kwaires and back.
Over the past day, no attacks were registered by illegal armed groups controlled by Turkey.
At the same time, in the Idlib de-escalation zone, 31 attacks were recorded from the positions of the "Jabhat al-Nusra" terrorist group (according to the Syrian side - 29) in the provinces of Idlib (19 attacks), Aleppo (1 attack), Latakia (6 attacks), Hama (5 attacks).
The Russian center for reconciliation calls on the commanders of illegal armed groups to abandon armed provocations and take the path of a peaceful settlement of the situation in the areas under their control.
