Military personnel of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides delivered more than 2 tons of humanitarian aid to the residents of Aleppo in Syria
Military personnel of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides delivered more than 2 tons of food to the residents of the Syrian city of Aleppo as part of a humanitarian action.
Soldiers of the Russian CPVS brought 250 food packages with a total weight of 1.2 tons and about 1 ton of scones. The kits were handed over to representatives of the Armenian community of Aleppo for distribution among the needy. The event was held in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Theotokos of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Events of this kind are planned to be held in the future,as has been the case for several years.
In total, the Russian military conducted more than 2,400 humanitarian actions and distributed more than 4,000 tons of food, bottled water and basic necessities to Syrian citizens. Moreover, since April 11, almost 250 tons of food have been distributed to the civilian population through local self-government bodies. Russian military medics also helped almost 133 thousand residents of Syria.
