Briefing by the Centre for Reconciliation and Control of the movement of refugees in the Syrian Arab Republic (November 22, 2019)
Peaceful settlement of the conflict and rendering of comprehensive assistance are the main vectors of work in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation carried out two humanitarian actions in the settlement of Heidi, Raqqa province, and Aleppo city. People received 1,000 food sets with the total weight 5.85 tons.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 2,248 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 3,731.57 tons.
Social infrastructure is being recovered to create favourable conditions for returnees.
As for November 19, 2019, 32,674 houses, 918 educational facilities and 215 medical centres has been recovered. Besides, 1,106.3km of roads have been repaired.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units are also continuing to patrol the routes of Arada-Kebira - Kara-Mania in al-Hasakah province, Ain-Isa - Shvihan in Raqqa province, Adjami - Membig, Adjami - Karakozak in Aleppo province.
The Army Aviation carried out air patrol along the route Kvaires - Cobani - Metras - point 509 - Quirez.
Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the Idlib de-escalation zone, there is an increase of cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations.
Over the past 24 hours, 30 cases of ceasefire violations. The militants of illegal armed groups fired at the settlements of Aleppo, Sabikia, Kaddara, Binyamin, Makanis-Ed-Duvairi in Aleppo province; Kukhbania, Kermel, Kalaz-Takhtani, Sarahf, Nakhsheba, Mamukhia in Latakia province; El Haruka, Jayed in Hama province; Sukkoria, Sidi Ali, Umm-Er-Jim, Ajaz, El Fhail, Niha, Luaybda, Kefraya, Sharja in Idlib province.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy.
