Work continues in the Syrian Arab Republic to resolve the conflict in a non-military manner and to provide comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens in restoring peaceful life.
Over the past day, representatives of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides have not carried out humanitarian actions.
Since the beginning of the settlement process, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides has conducted 3,023 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered exceedes 5,2 thousand tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the Membij area of Aleppo province along the Avshariya – Membij route and back.
Russian military police units conducted patrols in the provinces of Raqqa and Hasakeh on the route from Ain-Isa to Tell-Tamer and back, in the province of Aleppo on the route from Metras to Zaruik and back, in the province of Hasakeh on the route from Mamdouh to Qamishli and back.
Russian military police units continued to escort civilian vehicles on the section of the M4 highway between the settlements of Ain-Isa in Raqqa province and Tell-Tamer in Hasakeh province. Over the past day, 631 cars and 1374 people have been provided with safe passage.
Measures to stabilize the situation in the province of Deraa are continuing. With the mediation of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in the settlement of Tafas, 56 people settled their status in a day, 54 weapons were handed over, more than 1 thousand ammunition. In the settlement of Tell-Shehab, 218 people settled their status, 43 weapons and more than 3 thousand ammunition were handed over.
Over the past day, 26 attacks from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group were recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone (23 of them, according to the Syrian side). 11 attacks were registered in Idlib province, 11 attacks were registered in Latakia province, 1 attack was registered in Hama province, and 3 attacks were registered in Aleppo province.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy, and ensure delivery of humanitarian relief to Syrian civilians.
