Work continues in the Syrian Arab Republic to resolve the conflict in a non-military manner and to provide comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens in restoring peaceful life.
Over the past day, representatives of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides have carried a humanitarian action in the village of Zor Shammar in Raqqa province during which 1.5 tons of food packages were issued to the local population.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 3020 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered excedes 5,2 thousand tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the Membij area of Aleppo province from Ajami along two routes in the direction of Ashvarieh and Membij.
Another joint Russian-Turkish patrol took place in the province of Aleppo on the route from Jarih al Faukani to Khidjatar and back.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the province of Raqqa along the route from Ain Isa to Tel Tamer and back and in the province of Hasakeh along the route from Girkeh Shamu to Qamishlyah and back.
Over the past day, 23 attacks from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group were recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone (according to the Syrian side 24 attacks). 11 attacks were registered in Idlib province, 8 attacks were registered in Latakia province, 3 attack was registered in Aleppo province, and 2 attacks were registered in Hama province.
As a result of an artillery strike launched by terrorist groups on the positions of governmental forces one Syrian serviceman was killed and one serviceman was wounded near Maaret Mukhos village in the province of Idlib.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy, and ensure delivery of humanitarian relief to Syrian civilians.
