Briefing of the Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Control of the Movement of Refugees in the Syrian Arab Republic (September 2, 2021)
Work continues in the Syrian Arab Republic to resolve the conflict in a non-military manner and to provide comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens in restoring peaceful life.
Over the last day, representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides carried out two humanitarian action in ITWIRAN-FAUKANI, ALEPO province, and MARRAT, DEIR-EZ-ZOR province, where civilian population received food sets with a total weight of 1.2 tons.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 3,018 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 5,2 thousand tons.
The joint efforts of Russia and Turkey continue to implement the provisions of the Russian-Turkish Memorandum of common ground of October 22, 2019.
Russian military police units continued patrolling in the Membij area of Aleppo province from Ajami along two routes in the direction of Avshariyah and Membij.
Another joint Russian-Turkish patrol took place in the al-Hasakah province along the route from DEIRUN-AGHA to SHALHUMIYAH and back.
Russian military police units conducted patrols in the provinces of Raqqa and Hasakah on the route from Ain-Isa to Tell-Tamer and back, on the route from Ain-Isa to Bekaniyah and back, in the province of Deir Ez-Zor on the route from Hatla to al-Tabiya and back.
Russian military police units continue to escort civilian vehicles along the M4 highway between the settlements of Ain-Isa in Raqqa province and Tell-Tamer in Hasakah province.Over the past day, 363 vehicles and 963 persons were escorted. A total of 88,319 vehicles and 175,292 people have been escorted since May 25.
Over the past day, 25 attacks from the positions of the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group were recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone (including 20 attacks, according to the Syrian side). 13 attacks were registered in Idlib province, 7 attacks were registered in Latakia province, 3 attacks were registered in Aleppo province, and 2 attacks were registered in Hama province.
In Tell-Rifat district of the ALEPPO province, the positions of the Syrian government forces have survived 2 attacks by militants of illegal armed groups controlled by Turkey.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy, and ensure delivery of humanitarian relief to Syrian civilians.
