Reconciliation of the opposing sides

Within last 24 hours, a truce agreement with representatives of one inhabited area in the Daraa province has been achieved.

The total number of inhabited areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 139.

Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of armed opposition detachments active in the Damascus, Daraa and al-Quneitra provinces.

The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 60.

Results of ceasefire monitoring

The ceasefire has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 7 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Damascus province.

Jaysh al-Islam formations, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, have performed mortar shelling of positions of the Syrian Armed Forces in Ain Terma, Harasta al-Basal, Modiara and Zamalka inhabited areas. Masakid Barza, Jaubar city quarters and Ibn al-Walid have been shelled with mortars.

Russian Aerospace Forces and Syrian Air Force did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.

Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria

Humanitarian convoys for the population of Syria are being formed.

Citizens of Harb al-Kaser (Hama province) have received 2 tons of humanitarian cargos. Food products and flour are the basis of the cargos.

Additional information

Groupings of Jabhat al-Nusra international terrorist organization continue performing provocative actions aimed at breaking the ceasefire down. 

Terrorists have shelled Fuah (Idlib province), Ard al-Wata and Rasha (Latakia province), checkpoints of the Syrian Armed Forces near Rasm al-Tahabiya, Tabaret al-Hamra and Rasm Afandi (Hama province), Marj Sultan village (Damascus province), and al-Manshiya sector and checkpoint at the entrance to the eastern Daraa city. 

Armed formation of Jabhat al-Nusra (more than 160 militants) has crossed Turkish-Syrian border in the north of the Idlib province in order to reinforce terrorist groupings active in Aleppo region.

In the Aleppo province, firing with MLRS and mortars has been performed against Karasi, Handrat, al-Hamra, Ansar, Braij al-Rih as well as Sheikh Maqsood, Meidan, al-Muhafaza, al-Zagra, Makani al-Duwairi sectors of Aleppo, and al-Nairab airport.

Shellings are nonselective. Shellings are aimed not only at positions of the government troops but also residential areas. As a result of shellings, 23 civilians were killed and 47 ones were wounded.

Units of the Syrian Armed Forces continued repelling attacks of Jabhat al-Nusra armed formations in northeastern, northwestern and southwestern suburbs of Aleppo city. Armored hardware of terrorists has been registered moving to Tell Nsibin region from Haretan. Terrorists failed to break through defensive of the government troops.
