General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides
Within last 24 hours, truce agreements with representatives of 2 inhabited areas in the Damascus and Homs provinces have been achieved.
The total number of inhabited areas, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 131.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of armed opposition detachments active in the Homs, Hama, and Daraa provinces.
The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 60.
Results of ceasefire monitoring
The ceasefire has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 3 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Damascus province.
Jaysh al-Islam formations, which had claimed to belong to the opposition, have performed mortar shelling against positions of the Syrian Armed Forces in Jaubar, Duma, and Jaur al-Basha (Damascus province).
Russian Aerospace Forces and Syrian Air Force did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.
Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria
Humanitarian convoys for citizens of Syria are being formed.
Low-income families in Tubna (Daraa province) have received 2.5 tons of humanitarian assistance. Food products and sweets for children were the basis of the cargos.
Humanitarian aid (food products and sweets) have also been delivered to 2 orphanages located near Hay al-Muhafaza (Aleppo).
Agreement on prolonging “silence regime” near Darayya since 12 p.m. on June 3 has been achieved on the initiative of the Russian party in order to provide security for delivering of the UN humanitarian assistance to the population of the Damascus province.
Groupings of Jabhat al-Nusra international terrorist organization continue performing provocative actions aimed at breaking the ceasefire down.
Within last 24 hours, shelling with improvised artillery and mortars has been performed against Meidan, Amriyah, al-Muhafaza, al-Zagra sectors of Aleppo, al-Nairab airport, and Handrat village.
Terrorists have shelled Fuah (Idlib province), Ard al-Wata, Ain al-Qantara, and Nehshebba (Latakia province), Hammamiyat and Jurin (Hama province), Teir Maala and Tesnin (Homs province), Marj Sultan (Damascus province).
Within last three days, number of heavy trucks moving from the Turkish-Syrian borders to the region of Azaz (Aleppo province), and from Reihanly border checkpoint to the region of Dar Taazza (Idlib province) has increased significantly. According to civilians, within last few days armed formations of militants have been arriving in the region of Dar Taazza.
The Centre has been receiving information from civilians about intensive moving of militants’ armed groupings, off-roaders with different armament, armored hardware and tanks to inhabited areas located to the north from Aleppo: Hraitan, Kafr Hamra, Muheim Handrat, and to the south-west from Aleppo: Khan Tuman and Khan al-Assal.
