General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides
In the course of the last day, agreements on reconciliation were signed with elders of Zeyzoun and Tel Gehab (Damascus province) through the mediation of the Russian Federation. Total number of reconciliation agreements reached 37.
Civilians have an opportunity to come back to Abu Dali, Abu Umar, al-Jaduiyah, al-Saalumia, al-Msheyrfa, Tel al-Makta, Tel Kiram, Um Tukia, Um Hzein, al-Khvein, Tel Maraque, al-Khamdania, al-Tam, al-Mafara, al-Dajaje, al-Nasyria, al-Dabaa, al-Kahira, Raas al-Ain, Beit al-Aswad, Tleisia, Zabadi, Zogba, Khazer, Abu Kabara, Javelik, Sneisel, Hbub al-Rih, Dar al-Kabir, Halamuz, al-Ganta, al-Tel, Daraya, Zeyzun, Tel Gehab, Nakhtah, Ehtbaa freely because of situation stabilization.
Moreover, the Russian party has held negotiations with leaders of six armed formations of the “moderate” opposition. The sides reached preliminary cease-fire agreements and agreed on their implementation.
Results of ceasefire monitoring
In the course of 24 hours, 7 cease-fire violations were registered.
Four artillery attacks were performed from the Eastern Guta region on inhabited areas of Damascus. There are killed and injured civilians.
Jubhat al-Nusra terrorist group carried out three attacks from north-western Aleppo against positions of the Syrian army and inhabited areas of the city. Covered by artillery fire, militants took efforts to attack positions of Kurdish units and government troops.
An artillery attack against positions of government troops and nearest towns and villages was made from Narb Nafsa, which is controlled by Jubhat al-Nusra units.
Russian Aerospace Forces have performed missile and bomb strikes on attacking Jubhat al-Nusra terrorist groups in regions located to the north from Aleppo and terrorists’ positions near Narb Nafsa in order to stabilize the situation.
In general, the ceasefire is observed in the Syrian territories.
Armed formations, which had agreed to maintain cease-fire conditions, are not being attacked.
Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria
In accordance to Resolution 2254 (December 18, 2015) of the Security Council, the Russian aircraft delivered 50 tons of humanitarian cargos to the Hmeymim airbase. Food products and articles of prime necessity for Syrian people in the besieged and hard-to-reach regions are the basis of the cargos.
The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides delivered humanitarian assistance to Maalula and al-Husenia (Damascus province). People received food products and bottled drinking water.
Leadership of the Russian (Hmeymim airbase) and American (Amman) Coordination Centres held a telephone all within coordination on cease-fire monitoring. The parties discussed upon the first results of cease-fire regime and highly assessed the joint work.
