Briefing of the Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria (September 13, 2017)

In order to stabilize situation in the liberated regions of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides and National Reconciliation Committees continue with working on recovering infrastructure and enabling Syrian civilians to return to their homes.

A session of representatives of the National Reconciliation Committee and Jaysh al-Islam armed opposition took place in the Damascus province. The parties discussed order of opening the M5 highway section: Harasta al-Basal and Muheim al-Wafideen.  

The Russian Reconciliation Centre held a humanitarian action in the Homs province. Citizens of Deir Baalba have received 420 sets of food products with wheat grits, flour, canned meat, and tea.

Members of the National Reconciliation Committee jointly with the governor of the al-Quneitra province and officers of the Russian Reconciliation Centre held a humanitarian action devoted to the new study year. Pupils of Manal al-Ar School have received more than 100 backpacks with stationery.

The school leadership and pupils expressed their gratitude to Russian pupils and members of the Yunarmiya movement for the care.

Moreover, recovery plan for infrastructure priority objects of Jaba, al-Quneitra province, has been developed.
