Briefing of the Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria (September 9, 2017)

The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides proceeds its work together with the Syrian National Reconciliation Committees on returning refugees to their houses, recovering destroyed infrastructure, and providing humanitarian aid.

Officers of the Russian Reconciliation Centre provide assistance in recovering infrastructure. Working groups hold meeting in order to assign recovery and repair works in hospitals, schools, bakeries as well as water and energy supply systems. Material and financial needs are being calculated. Recovered objects are being inspected.

The Russian party jointly with the Aleppo’s authorities have opened a school in the district of al-Furkan. About 500 pupils are supposed to study there.

The Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides continues providing humanitarian air to citizens from areas liberated from terrorists.

Today, humanitarian action has taken place in liberated areas of Deir ez-Zor. The Russian party has delivered food products, bottled drinking water, medicaments, mobile generators, and items of first necessity.

Under the aegis of the Russian Centre for reconciliation, a female and her 5 children have been evacuated from the de-escalation zone No. 3 (Eastern Ghouta) to the Almoujthed hospital in Damascus.
