The parade included Mi-8AMTSH and Mi-35M transport and attack helicopters, An-30 and An-72 military transport aircraft, Su-35 multi-purpose supermaneuverable fighters, and Su-34 multi-role fighter-bombers.
Also in the Syrian sky appeared a long-range radar detection aircraft A-50 accompanied by a pair of Su-24 bombers, flying at a distance of 30 meters from the leader and simulating refueling in the air.
"We are going to fly, feeling responsible, in order to send greetings in the form of an air display far from our homeland, and this day is another opportunity to remember the fallen veterans with a good word, to congratulate those who are still in the ranks and to remind ourselves that there is someone to look up to and learn from," said the pilot of the Su - 24 plane, Sergey Dmitriev.
Pilots are experienced, some have taken part in Victory Parades more than once, but even they do not have to relax during the festive flight.
"The most difficult thing is to withstand all the flight parameters: the formation, speed, and of course, the time output is accurate," said the Su-34 pilot Vasily Petrov.
The air parade was also observed in the city. Participants of the action "Immortal Regiment" Elena Saad, Elena Nasser, Tatiana Kassab and the coordinator of the action in Syria Inna Boridko took photos of their relatives who participated in the second world war and followed the military pilots.
The leadership and the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces group in Syria, representatives of the command of the Armed Forces of Syria, as well as leadership Latakia province laid wreaths at the monument to twice hero of Soviet Union Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky, and also took part in the solemn meeting.
