Peaceful settlement of the conflict and rendering of comprehensive assistance are the main vectors of work in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation held a humanitarian action in the settlement of Kafer-Aqid, Hama province.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started the settlement process, it carried out 2,133 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 3,416.4 tons.
Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
Over the past day, terrorists have attacked Ikko, Djub al-Zarur (two times), al-Areimi, Tall-Metwasi, Safsafa, Mamuhiyah, Kinsabba, Akch-Baer, Nahshabba and Ain al-Hammam in Latakia province; Karkad and Kara-Jurn in Hama province, districts of Hamdaniyah and al-Zahra in Aleppo city.
On June 6, 2019, in the evening, some 500 militants of the Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group and allied formations attacked the positions of government forces near the settlements of Jubbain and Tall-al-Malah in Hama province. For the offensive, the militants used six tanks, four infantry fighting vehicles, 20 all-terrain vehicles equipped with large-caliber machine guns, and other military hardware. The Syrian troops supported by the Russian Aerospace Forces repelled the attack destroying over 120 terrorists, five tanks, three IFVs, nine pickups, an MLRS, and two mortar units.
On June 7, 2019, at 10:45 a.m., illegal armed formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone made attacks against positions of the government troops near the settlements of Kornaz and Hamamiyat, Hama province. Some 80 militants and seven pickups were involved in the attack against Kornaz. Some 60 militants, two tanks, an IFV and a pickup were involved in the attack against Hamamiyat. In repelling the attacks of illegal armed groups, the armed forces of the Syrian Arab Republic destroyed more than 20 militants, one tank and two pickups.
In order to offset the losses, illegal armed formations are regrouping their forces, redeploy reinforcements, weapons, and military hardware. In the area of Moreq, north of Hama, there is a concentration of armed gangs totaling about 1,000 militants.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy.
