Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic (May 25, 2018)
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
The situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered five cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (2), Latakia (2), and Hama (1).
The Turkish side has registered four cases of ceasefire violation in the provinces of Aleppo (1) and Hama (3).
Humanitarian aid provided for the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides has held two humanitarian actions. Citizens of Mazlum, Deir ez-Zor province, and Tell Maqsur, Aleppo province, have received 890 sets with food supplies. Total weight of humanitarian cargos reached 3.8 tons.
Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,818, with a total weight of cargo delivered – 2,581.56 tons.
Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 108 citizens.
In total, 81,175 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, no ceasefire agreements have been signed.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2, 513.
The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is 234.
