Briefing by Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria (April 14, 2019)
Peaceful settlement of the conflict and rendering of comprehensive assistance are the main vectors of work in the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring has held no humanitarian actions over the past day.
In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 2,096 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 3,333.7 tones.
As part of the implementation of the decree of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Syrian authorities continue to work on amnesty for those who evade from military service, including those among refugees and former members of illegal armed groups. As for April 13, 2019, in total 57,545 were granted amnesty.
Social infrastructure is being recovered. In total 31,552 houses, 844 educational facilities and 156 medical centres have been recovered. Besides, 1,031.4 km of roads have been repaired.
In order to prevent a humanitarian disaster in the Rukban refugee camp, a humanitarian corridor and the Jleb mobile checkpoint are set up, where also specially formed columns of buses are also sent for the voluntary and unimpeded return of temporarily displaced persons from the al-Tanf area to the places of their permanent residence.
A total of 1,358 people have managed to leave the Rukban camp over the past day. Since February 19, 2019, in total 3,642 people have left the Rukban camp for the territories controlled by the Syrian government.
The Syrian government guarantees the security of temporarily displaced persons and a simplified procedure for the restoration of documents. There are also centres for temporary accommodation for refugees.
Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
Over the past day, militants have attacked settlements of Achan, Mgayr in Hama province, Ruyeset0Iskander (three times) in Latakia province, Tel Hamra and al-Amaraz in Aleppo province.
