The Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides holds meeting with territorial control departments

Over the past day, in total 178 people left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and Zemrani CPs.

Since July 18, 2018, in total 17,251 Syrians have returned back to their homes from abroad:

16,933 refugees have left Lebanon, with 9,996 of them - via the Jeydet-Yabus CP, Zemrani – 3,655 people, 1,843 people via al-Dabusiyah, 854 people via the al-Qusayr and 594 via Talkalakh;

318 people have passed via the Nasib CP from Jordan.

It is reported that 15 Syrians (5 women and 9 children) returned back to Eastern Ghouta (Damascus province). Since September 30, 2015 – 135,825 people.

Over the past day, no refugees have left the Idlib de-escalation zone. Since March 4, 2018, in total, 33,848 people (women – 10,391, children 16,875), 4,232 vehicles and 44,352 heads of cattle left the Idlib de-escalation zone.

Local administrations are actively implementing the tasks of infrastructure rehabilitation, and for this purpose, applications have been sent to the Ministry of Public Works and Housing for construction materials for the facilities rehabilitation.

For the first time in seven years, the National Center for the Study of Energy of the Syrian Arab Republic has recorded an increase in the production of electricity. Currently, about 60 percent of households in the territories liberated from the militants are connected to the power grid.

In Latakia province, local administrations have announced the provision of additional jobs for internally displaced persons in the collection of agricultural crops.

Since July 18, 2018, in total, in the Syrian Arab Republic:

103 medical and 246 educational organizations have been recovered;

five road bridges and 652km of roads were recovered;

596km of power line have been installed;

100 power substations, 94 water supply facilities, 95 bakeries, 33 industrial enterprises have been put into operation.

Currently, in 265 settlements of the provinces of Aleppo, Damascus, Deir-ez-Zor, Latakia, Hama, Homs, work is underway to overhaul 165 schools, 146 kindergartens, 140 bakeries, 162 water pump stations, 148 power substations, 139 medical centres, 1,762 houses and 80 place of worships.

Humanitarian organizations are working actively. The Syrian Red Crescent Society delivered 20 trucks with humanitarian aid to the refugees returning to their homes in Deir ez-Zor province. Civilians received 17,000 food sets and several tons of flour.

In total, the Russian side has organised and carried out  1,959 humanitarian actions, delivering more than 3,000 tons of food supplies, the bare necessities and bottled water.

In total, 95,110 Syrians were provided with medical assistance by Russian military medics.

Over the past day, the SAA engineering units carried out the mine clearance operation. 12 ha of the territory, 9 buildings and 1km of roads.

They found and defused 42 explosive devices including 5 improvised explosive devices.

In Homs, al-Suwayda, Daraa and al-Quneitra provinces they cleared up: 503.6 ha of the territory, 1,055 buildings and 109km of roads. They found and defused 9,776 explosive devices including 2,695 improvised explosive devices.

Checkpoint al-Salhiyah is functioning normally.

Over the past day, refugees did not return to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory controlled by the Kurdish self-defenсe detachment at al-Salhiyah checkpoint. Since August 25, 2018, in total, 16,493 people, 361 vehicles.

Also in the area of responsibility of the territorial department:

27 medical and 11 educational organizations have been recovered;

a road bridge and 47km of roads were recovered;

40.5km of power line have been installed;

12 power substations, 11 water supply facilities, 23 bakeries, an industrial enterprise have been put into operation.

We have no issues of concern.

Since March 4, 2018, in total 33,550 people, 4,232 vehicles left the Idlib de-escalation zone.

Also in the area of responsibility of the territorial department:

36 medical and 19 educational organizations have been recovered;

two road bridges and 84km of roads were recovered;

57km of power line have been installed;

16 power substations, 14 water supply facilities, 29 bakeries, two industrial enterprises have been put into operation.

We have no issues of concern.

Today, the attention of the world community is focused on the development of the situation in Idlib province. The process of the repatriation at your checkpoint should be organized smoothly and become an additional positive factor in the implementation of the Russian-Turkish agreements to stabilize the situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

Checkpoint Nasib is situated near the settlement of Nasib. The check point is under reconstruction.

318 people have passed via the Nasib CP from Jordan.

Also in the area of responsibility of the territorial department:

17 medical and 9 educational organizations have been recovered;

51km of roads have been repaired;

53km of power line have been installed;

12 power substations, 13 water supply facilities, 18 bakeries have been put into operation.

The Jordanian authorities confirmed their interest in repatriation of refugees to their homeland and their willingness to organize the work of the Nasib checkpoint at full capacity. Therefore, you organize a full-fledged work of the checkpoint.

Based on the tasks assigned to the Center, the main efforts should be focused on the following issues:

- to ensure strict accounting and control of arriving refugees, their distribution in temporary centres, points of stay and departure to places of permanent residence;

- continue to work closely with the Syrian state authorities, local authorities and public organizations in providing the necessary assistance to arriving citizens, providing them with the required food and medical care.
