Housing and infrastructure rebuilt in Syria allows repatriation of almost a million of refugees
Housing and infrastructure restored in Syria allow to repatriate about 1 million of refugees, the Russian Defence Minister of Sergei Shoigu told reporters during his working trip to the troops of the Central Military District noting that there are more than 1,500,000 of them in Jordan and Lebanon.
Since 2015, as cities and settlements gradually have been liberated, more than a million people have already returned home. And now there are all conditions for another million of refugees to return back home. General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, once again called on the world community to take part in the social and economic reconstruction of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Russian Defence Minister also expressed surprise at the behavior of some foreign politicians regarding the return of refugees. According to the head of the military department, the situation in Syria is stabilizing every day, and still even more conditions are being imposed.
According to Sergei Shoigu, no one is going to persuade anyone, especially the leadership of some structures in Europe.
