Russian Naval parade takes place in waters off Tartous, Syria, to mark Navy Day
Russian naval task group in Mediterranean Sea held a naval parade in waters off the Syrian port of Tartous to mark the Navy Day of the Russian Federation.
The parade line-up was made up by diesel-electric submarine Kolpino, special-purpose vessel Kildin, minesweeper Turbinist, small-size missile ships Veliky Ustiug and Grad Sviyazhsk equipped with Kalibr NK high-precision weapons, and KIL-158 crane ship.
Seamen were awarded state decorations at the guard ship Smetlivy. Ship crews demonstrated splendid skills when performing assigned tasks in the Mediterranean Sea.
Besides, there was a flypast of the Russian aircraft over the Tartous Port to mark the Navy Day: Su-24M short-range bombers, Su-34 multipurpose fighter-bombers and Su-35S fighter jets stationed at the Hmeymim Air Base.
