Sappers of the International Mine Action Centre have been decorated after mission performance in Palmyra
Today solemn decoration of the military sappers of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces has taken place in the suburbs of Moscow.
The servicemen have returned after humanitarian mine clearance of Palmyra.
From March 8 to April 20, they have cleared 1514 hectares of territory, 140 km of roads, about 2000 buildings and constructions neutralizing 6609 explosive devices including 630 IEDs.
Over 150 specialists of the International mine Action Centre used 17 units of special hardware such as robotic systems Uran-6 and armoured vehicles Typhoon-K and Rys.
Moreover, the mine clearance detachment included a K9 unit.
